PM Narendra Modi Lauded Made In India Apps With Millions Of Downloads
Yesterday in PM Modi¡¯s Mann Ki Baat, he spoke about how so many apps made by Indian developers have now surfaced on these aforementioned app stores that are also offering some really cool features.
India is one of the largest smartphone markets in the world with over 500 million users in the year 2019, and this number has only gone up due to the COVID-19 lockdown which has now forced kids to get their hands on phones to either attend class or get entertained while they were locked indoors for months to stay safe from the novel coronavirus.
This massive smartphone user base has also resulted in a spike in the consumption of cool apps on the Play Store and Apple App Store -- whether it¡¯s games, apps to help with productivity, or entertainment/ social media apps to kill time.
Yesterday in PM Modi¡¯s Mann Ki Baat, he spoke about how so many apps made by Indian developers have now surfaced on these aforementioned app stores that are also offering some really cool features. The first app he spoke about was Kutuki Kids Learning App -- a learning app for preschoolers that teaches them about basic concepts like colours, numbers, shapes etc that too in their mother tongue.
Modi stated, ¡°This is an interactive app for children in which they can easily learn many aspects of maths, science through songs and stories.¡±
He also spoke about KOO -- a Twitter-like microblogging platform that allows people of the nation to communicate with each other, conduct discussions and follow their favourite people -- all in their regional language.
Modi also spoke about TikTok clone Chingari which has, since the banning of the OG has garnered over 10 million downloads. He also spoke about AskSarkar -- an app that allows people to communicate with a chatbot to learn about government schemes. This app enables both text and voice-based communication, which makes it easily accessible.
PM Modi also spoke about StepSetGo -- a fitness app that motivates people to work out and walk more kilometres every day with the help of lucrative deals that you can redeem post-workout.
