OnePlus 8, 8 Pro Launched Globally At Approx Rs 53,000, And Coming Soon To India
OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 have been launched globally at a starting price of $899 and $699 respectively. The much awaited smartphones together form the OnePlus 8 series and will be available in four (two each) memory options. OnePlus will start taking pre-orders and conduct open sales for the devices in US, UK and Canada within this month.
As can be understood, the OnePlus 8 Pro comes as the flagship smartphone by the company that was once renowned for its ¡®flagship killer¡¯ devices. With the transition from being the challenger to the segment leader, OnePlus has now come up with its first ever quad camera smartphone. That is just one of the top-notch features on the device. OnePlus 8 Pro
OnePlus 8 Pro is equipped with a 6.78-inch QHD+ Fluid edge-to-edge display that is topped with 3D Corning Gorilla Glass and boasts of the highest-ever color accuracy on a OnePlus phone. With HDR10+ support, 120 Hz refresh rate and 3168x1440 resolution, OnePlus claims to have used 150 visual optimizations across OxygenOS for a more responsive display experience.
The device stands at 165.3x74.35x8.5 mm in length, width and thickness and weighs 199 g in total.
As was known since long, the OnePlus 8 Pro will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, which is 5G enabled through the embedded X55 5G modem. Alongside there are options to choose from 8 GB/ 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128 GB/ 256 GB internal storage.
The cameras on the OnePlus 8 Pro are the first-of-its-kind setup that OnePlus has employed in its devices. Again, the 48 MP primary lens in this setup uses the largest ever Sony IMX689 sensor ever used in a OnePlus smartphone, for more light. There is also a 48 MP ultra-wide angle (120¡ã field of view) camera lens, along with an 8MP telephoto and a 5MP colour filter camera.
Other features of the camera setup include Dual LED Flash, Multi Autofocus, 3X hybrid zoom, 4K video at 30/60 fps and Super Slow Motion videos.
At the front, the OnePlus 8 Pro comes with a 16 MP selfie shooter with face unlock, HDR, screen flash and face retouching.
OnePlus 8 Pro is powered by a 4510 mAh battery that promises to charge up to 50% within 25 minutes through OnePlus Warp Charge 30T in 30 minutes through Warp Charge 30 Wireless. Other features on the OnePlus 8 Pro include In-display Fingerprint Sensor, dual-stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support and more.
OxygenOS on the OnePlus 8 Pro features Android 10 and offers Dark Theme 2.0 - universal dark mode as a custom-built experience for OnePlus users.
OnePlus 8
Essentially the toned down variant of the OnePlus 8 Pro, the OnePlus 8 comes is 5 mm shorter and 2 mm more compact than its sibling. This results in a 10 g reduction in the weight of the phone than the OnePlus 8 Pro.
Essentially with the same performance factors including the chipset and memory options, the OnePlus 8 comes with a 6.55¡¯-inch Fluid AMOLED display with 2400x1080 pixel resolution and 3D Corning Gorilla Glass on top. To back all this, the device appoints a 4300 mAh battery with Warp charging support.
The OnePlus 8 comes with a triple lens camera setup with a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor for the main lens, 2MP macro lens and a 16MP wide angle lens. The front camera is same as that on the OnePlus 8 Pro.
OnePlus Bullet Wireless Z
Along with the OnePlus 8 and the OnePlus 8 Pro, the company has also launched Bullet Wireless Z earphones at a price of $49.95. The wireless earphones promise a backup of 10 hours within a 10 minutes charge.
As for the smartphones, the OnePlus 8 Pro has been priced at $899 and $999 for the 8GB/ 128GB and 12GB/ 256GB variants respectively.
