PUBG Mobile¡¯s re-entry in India has been confirmed by the game¡¯s parent company and it seems like the game is already making a head start towards gaining back its user base. In a new development, PUBG Corporation has started pre-registrations of the battle royale action game for Indian users on mobile game sharing community Tap Tap.
The new listing will allow gamers to sign up for PUBG Mobile, granting them access to the game as and when it is released. Pre-registrations have been started for both Android and iOS and as was expected, hundreds of thousands of fans of the game have already registered their names.
The development comes after PUBG Mobile announced an India-specific version of the game following its ban by the centre citing data security reasons. The new and reworked PUBG Mobile will be made available exclusive to Indian gamers and will sport changes from the original format of the game. The company has started the official social media accounts of the game in India, all pointing to the fact that the much celebrated mobile game is ¡°coming soon.¡±
Krafton Inc, the parent company of PUBG Corporation, recently announced a partnership with Microsoft for its Azure Cloud servers located in India, ensuring local storage and hence security of the data.
In addition, the company will be pumping $100 million into its Indian operations in order to cultivate esports in the country. Based on this, the company will be organising esports tournaments in the country from time to time.
