Samsung Will Showcase Five New Products At its Galaxy Unpacked Event On August 5

The world is paused due to COVID-19, but that isn¡¯t stopping smartphone makers from launching new devices for people to buy while staying locked in their homes.

In case you didn¡¯t know, Samsung¡¯s Unpacked event showcases the Note line of its flagships to the world. And with the leaks that surfaced around a month ago, we¡¯re all excited to see what the next Samsung Note will bring to the table.

However, recently, on its website, Samsung president and head of mobile communications business TM Roh announced that at this Unpacked event, Samsung will be unveiling five products, stating, ¡°At this summer¡¯s Galaxy Unpacked, we¡¯ll be introducing five new power devices. These devices deliver on our vision to be the innovator of new mobile experiences that flow seamlessly and continuously wherever we go.¡±

With the number of Samsung devices going up to five, according to confirmation from Samsung executives, things sure seem more interesting for the upcoming event. He obviously didn¡¯t reveal what those give devices would be, but leaks have given us some idea.

Here are five things that we can expect from the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2020 event.

Galaxy Note 20 Series

Just like the S20, we can expect the next Note lineup to adopt a similar moniker. We can expect to see three tiers of Galaxy Note devices -- The regular Note 20, Note 20 Plus and the Note 20 Ultra.

We can expect the Galaxy Note devices to be rocking Qualcomm¡¯s latest Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset with 5G connectivity.

Galaxy Fold 2

We saw the Galaxy Fold Z which surely won the hearts of the many with a compact folding form-factor, however at this event, we can expect the OG Galaxy Fold form-factor to get a more practical makeover, probably with a larger screen on the outside and a folding screen which can withstand scratches and dust better than its predecessor.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7

Even though Android tablets are barely out there, brands like Samsung are trying to keep it alive with its Galaxy Tab line-up offering powerful specs and cool accessories to make it a portable-productivity workhorse like the iPad Pro.

This year, we could see this lineup refreshed with the Tab S7, offering faster Snapdragon 865 processor while also offering 5G connectivity.

Galaxy Watch 3

The Galaxy Watch could also get a much-needed makeover with a sharper display, faster processor thanks to Snapdragon¡¯s latest 4100 Plus platform offering better battery life along with it.

We wish they bring back the rotating dial on the watches though.

New Galaxy Buds

Along with the phones, Samsung could unveil the new truly-wireless earbuds that¡¯s been under development since a while.

Leaks have surfaced that look like a bean-shaped in-ear monitor. It sure looks odd, but also feels like will offer a snug fit.

That above is an infographic of the Samsung Galaxy Note 1, a blast from the past, as far as Samsung Galaxy Note series is concerned -- the beginning of the entire Galaxy Note line. It was quite an all-rounder at the time, offering unique features not seen among competitor devices at the time.
