Elon Musk's Tesla Now Sells 'S3XY' Red Satin Shorts For Rs 5,200
Elon Musk has shared images of the limited edition Tesla shorts in a shiny red colour.
While we know Elon Musk for Tesla and its electric cars, often the carmaker brand sells cool things like surfboards, Tesla Supercharger phone charger and now it is selling Tesla-branded shorts on its website.
No, we¡¯re not kidding. Elon Musk has shared images of the limited edition Tesla shorts in a shiny red colour (similar to Telsa¡¯s branding) along with ¡®S3XY¡¯ printed at the back. In case you didn¡¯t know the ¡®S3XY¡¯ signifies the current Tesla lineup -- Model S, Model 3, Model X and Model Y.
According to the description on the Tesla's website, the shorts seemed to be made out of red satin.
It states, "Celebrate summer with Tesla Short Shorts. Run like the wind or entertain like Liberace with our red satin and gold trim design.
Relax poolside or lounge indoors year-round with our limited-edition Tesla Short Shorts, featuring our signature Tesla logo in front with ¡°S3XY¡± across the back. Enjoy exceptional comfort from the closing bell."
In case you think this is a joke, it sort of is. The shorts are actually aimed at Tesla Shorters -- people in the stock market who borrow and sell stocks, trying to earn as much profit as they can.
Musk even takes a dig with the SEC in a tweet promoting the shorts, stating, ¡°Will send some to the Shortseller Enrichment Commission to comfort them through these difficult times.¡±
The shorts, even though are a joke, are actually priced at $69.420 a pop. Again, the 420, in the end, is intentional with reference to his love for weed as well as the tweet where he spoke about taking Tesla private at $420 a share that put Musk in trouble with the SEC.
In case you were interested in buying the absurdly red shorts, you might have to wait for it to be restocked as all the sizes are now unavailable.
