The 69-year-old San-yuan is a grandfather from Taiwan that still hasn¡¯t given up on the dream of catching them all. In fact, this sexagenarian is so committed he cycles around town with not one, not two, but with 11 smartphones simultaneously scanning for nearby Pokemon.
Hardcore Pokemon hunter grandpa from r/gaming
Chen was first discovered by a local Taiwanese YouTube channel EXP.GG, biking around with nine smartphones strapped to his handlebars. According to the BBC, he¡¯s since upgraded to 11 devices, and spends over $1,250 (approximately Rs 86,368) a month to feed his habit. San-yuan reportedly spends up to 20 hours a day, looking for virtual critters that need catching, until his phones run out of battery.
Having rightfully earned the moniker ¡°Uncle Pokemon¡±, San-yuan reportedly first picked up Pokemon Go when his grandson introduced him to it. Yet, despite his seeming addiction to it and the ridiculous amounts of money he spends, the extended search has supposedly had some health benefits for him.
Heck, if the guy¡¯s cycling around for close to 20 hours a day at 69 years old, and not running himself into serious debt, let him go ahead and try to ¡°be the best like no one ever was.¡±
