Thousands Of Tesla 'Humanoid Robots' To Start Working In Company's Factories

Tesla's factories are about to get swankier with humanoid robots. In 2021, Tesla unveiled initial plans for its humanoid robot. While we were only treated to essential details of the Tesla Bot at that time, it appears that Tesla is now deputising the robots to its own factories.
According to Reuters, Tesla is now ramping up the developments of its Tesla Bot, also known as Optimus. Internal meetings and hiring for 20 positions for "software and firmware engineers, deep learning scientists, actuator technicians, and internships" point to a newly found focus on the humanoid robots.
Tesla's Optimus to debut in factories
In a job posting for "Motion Planning & Navigation, Tesla Bot," Tesla wrote - "Tesla is on a path to build humanoid bi-pedal robots at scale to automate repetitive and boring tasks. Core to the Tesla Bot, the motion planning stack presents a unique opportunity to work on state-of-the-art algorithms for motion planning and navigation culminating in their deployment to real world production applications.
"Our motion planning software engineers develop and own this stack from inception to deployment. Most importantly, you will see your work repeatedly shipped to and utilized by thousands of Humanoid Robots within our factories," it added.

Tesla founder Elon Musk had earlier talked about building "the machine that builds the machine," - essentially an automated factory, CleanTechnica Reported. More should be revealed about the Tesla Bot during Tesla's second AI Day event on September 30, 2022.
Earlier, Elon Musk had hinted during TED Talks that Tesla Bot could be used in virtually any setting - be it a factory or a home - to make dinner, to mow the low, and even to care for the elderly. In addition, Musk added that Tesla Bots could also become buddies or a sex partner in the future.
