Tesla may be on its way to changing the automobile industry, but the company isn't certainly done yet.
On Thursday, Tesla's Chief Executive Elon Musk announced plans to a launch a humanoid robot.

Dubbed as a "Tesla Bot", the prototype will be revealed next year.

According to Musk, the robot will be designed to carry out dangerous, boring, and repetitive tasks that humans don't enjoy pursuing.
The revelation was made at Tesla's AI Day event, where Musk also announced physical details of the human-like robot. Tesla Bot robot will stand at five foot eight inches and would be able to successfully tackle a multitude of tasks including automobile repairs or grocery shopping.
"Profound implications for the economy"
In classic Musk style, the robot is being sold as the next big tech in mainstream technology.
The mogul said that the Tesla Bot would have "profound implications for the economy", while referring to a labour shortage.
In addition, Musk mentioned how the robot must not be "super expensive".
Currently, Tesla is under scrutiny for the failures registered by its self-driving capabilities.
Without referring to the same, Musk claimed that he hopes to attain complete self-driving capabilities using cameras and computers fitted in cars.
Just last week, US safety enforcers opened an investigation into the safety of Tesla cars after they kept ramming into police cars and fire trucks.

Of course, all new technology comes with its own flaws and new iterations are developed to get rid of those issues.

If all works out, the Tesla Bot could help many industries in the US that are currently witnessing a shortage of labour in the aftermath of COVID-19 pandemic.
At the event, Tesla also unveiled chips it designed for Dojo, its high-speed computer.
The computer will facilitate its automated driving systems and is expected to be operation by 2022.
