WhatsApp Will Show E2E Encryption On Calls & Status, With Quick Replies Shortcut
The leak was spotted by WhatsApp features tracker WABetaInfo on the iOS version of the app.
WhatsApp boasts of its end-to-end encryption on its platform, claiming that only the sender and receiver of a message can see the message, and now, it looks like it plans on showcasing the same end-to-end encryption to every WhatsApp call and status update you check.

The leak was spotted by WhatsApp features tracker WABetaInfo on the iOS version of the app. The feature which is still under development appears to now display that end-to-end encryption is present on all the calls and status uploaded on the platform.

Entering the Calls menu, the screenshot shows a message at the bottom stating, ¡°your personal calls are end-to-end encrypted¡±. Similarly in the Status menu, another message shows, ¡°Your status is end-to-end encrypted.¡±
The feature was spotted on a closed beta version of the app that¡¯s still under development. Moreover, we don¡¯t really know when this feature will be released with WhatsApp¡¯s updates, or if it¡¯ll ever be released.
Quick Replies shortcut
WhatsApp Business users now get a new shortcut for the ¡®Quick Replies¡¯ feature. To the unaware, Quick Replies, as a feature was already present in the WhatsApp Business app, which could be enabled by typing ¡®/¡¯ in the chat screen and selecting the preset message that they intended to send.

However, now, in the recent beta version of the app, WhatsApp has decided to make this feature more visible to new WhatsApp Business users out there. It has gone ahead and included the shortcut for the feature in the chat share action menu. The feature has been rolled out to both iOS and Android WhatsApp Business beta users.
While there isn¡¯t a tentative timeline for when the feature will be rolled out for stable users, it sure feels like a worthy inclusion.
