WhatsApp has brought up a new tool to allow users to create their own custom stickers. The new tool is being rolled out as a part of WhatsApp Web for Desktop users on Mac and PC.
Users can play around with the existing library of stickers and whip up their own creations bringing in funny emojis, texts etc.
The custom stickers can be used in groups as well as private texts with individuals. As of now, this is being spotted only for users on WhatsApp Web on Mac and PC, however, we can soon expect the same to be rolled out for Windows and Mac app variants of WhatsApp too.
Moreover, there is no info if we will get to see this on the Android/iOS versions of the app, but it seems highly likely that we could see this roll out in the coming few weeks.
How to make custom stickers on WhatsApp
The custom sticker maker tool can be enabled by going on to a chat, hitting the paperclip attach icon and simply tapping on the custom sticker option.
The tool also allows you to select any image on your computer to be turned into a sticker.
The outline tool (scissor icon) on top can be used to focus on a particular subject and chop off the background, whereas using the sticker tool you can add an image of your choice to whip up your own combination.
