Bradley here, for example, was found alive while his mother lost her life. The young one was saved and brought to the sanctuary:

Chris, over the years, has become known all over the world as the man who has been saving kangaroos.
This is Chris "Brolga" Barnes & he runs the Kangaroo Sanctuary in Alice Springs, here in Australia. He has raised all the roos from joeys (a young roo is called a joey) Their Mum's have sadly been killed in road accidents, or the joey's dropped. He in the roo's eyes is their Mum
