In a video, now viral, posted by a Twitter page B & S, a Beluga whale can be seen playing fetch near the North Pole. The 56-second video shows a man throwing a ball far in the water for the whale to go and fetch.
The video starts with the whale handing the ball to the man on a boat in the middle of the sea. As he gets the ball, he throws it back into the water. The whale starts running in the direction of the ball, fetches it, swims back and gives it to the man again. The video ends with the whale finally leaving the ball near the man's boat while continuing to swim by the boat.
The video wowed netizens
The video has amassed more than 7 million views, more than 47,000 retweets, and 370,000 likes. The video got a lot of attention. In response to the video, a user wrote, "Wonder if it was once in captivity and was trained to do this?!"
