Pet Dog Allegedly Attacks Little Girl In Gurugram, Owner Claims 'He Hasn't Bitten Anyone'

We often see cute videos of dogs, and along with them some videos of dogs attacking people also exist. Lately, there's been a rise in such cases. In a new case of a pet dog attack, a dog reportedly pounced on a girl exiting an elevator in Gurugram.

The dog did not bite the little child, but as soon as she stepped out of the elevator, he attempted to attack her. The video of the incident is now making rounds on the internet. Watch the video here to find out what happened.

The incident occurred at Gurugram's Uniworld Garden-2 Society. Deepti Jain, who lives here, was taking the lift to the ground floor with her daughter. Meanwhile, on the ground floor, a man was walking his dog. He waited for the lift to arrive.

The dog reportedly attacked the girl as soon as the mother and daughter exited the lift. The residents of the society claim that there is a greater fear of dogs here. The RWA has no control over it, and no officials have come to take action.

Meanwhile, the dog's owner stated that his pet was simply interested in playing with the girl and did not assault her. The dog, according to the owner, was jumping not to bite but to play with the girl. He claims the dog hasn't bitten anyone, and the story is being made up.

However, as of now, the victim has filed a police report and sought action. The police have begun an inquiry into the incident. When the in-charge of the Sadar police station was contacted by a news agency about the incident, he had no quick response.

Sumedha Sharma wrote on Twitter, "Pet dog attacks girl in uni world garden 2 society. RWA says the dog was not registered and had no muzzle," while sharing CCTV footage from the ground floor of the building, as noticed in the super text over the video.

Pet dogs can attack other people, although it is rare. Dogs may attack people if they feel threatened, or frightened, or if they have been poorly trained or socialised. It is important for dog owners to properly train and socialise their dogs, as well as supervise them around other people, in order to minimize the risk of dog attacks.

The dog in the video seems like a Labrador Retriever; like any other breed of dog, this breed can display aggressive behaviour, but it is not inherent to the breed. Whether a dog is aggressive or not depends on many factors, including its individual temperament, training, socialisation, and history of treatment.

However, Labrador Retrievers are generally known for being friendly, outgoing, and good-natured. With proper training, socialisation, and care, most Labradors will be unlikely to exhibit aggressive behaviour.
