'Become rich': BTS Jin's New Year message arrives almost a month late but hits ARMY hard
BTS' Jin, discharged from military service in June 2024, has been busy with music, fashion, and TV projects. Nearly a month late, he shared a New Year¡¯s message on Weverse wishing ARMY things fans only hope can come true.
In June 2024, BTS' eldest member, Kim Seok-jin¡ªprofessionally known as Jin¡ªwas discharged from his mandatory South Korean military service. Since then, he has been keeping busy. From attending the Paris Olympics and fashion shows to releasing his solo album HAPPY, launching his own variety show RUN JIN, and now singing an OST for the tvN drama When the Stars Gossip, Jin has been actively engaged in various projects.
Amid all this, it seems he didn't find the right time to wish his fandom, ARMY, a Happy New Year. However, better late than never¡ªalmost a month after the new year began¡ªJin took to Weverse to share a heartfelt post along with a picture.
Jin's message for ARMY
The eldest BTS member is known for his witty remarks and blunt humour. However, he also has a charming and affectionate side, especially when it comes to his members and fans. On Weverse, Jin wrote: "Hello everyone, it's Jin~ Are you all doing well? (cutely) After wondering what kind of New Year's greeting to give you all, I missed the right timing and couldn¡¯t visit you often ?? Everyone, please receive lots of New Year blessings! I hope this year will be full of even better things, and you all become rich (cutely)."

His belated but endearing message quickly went viral, especially on X (formerly known as Twitter) with ARMY playfully manifesting wealth for the new year.

More about BTS
The seven-member South Korean group last performed together during their Yet to Come concert in Busan in October 2022. While BTS has not appeared as a group since then, they gifted fans a special release with Take Two on June 9, 2023, to celebrate their 10th debut anniversary. Despite the lack of group activities in 2023 and 2024, BTS remained a dominant presence in global searches, proving their immense popularity and the public¡¯s continued interest in them.
With all seven members expected to complete their military service in 2025, anticipation for a full-group reunion is at an all-time high. BTS has previously hinted at plans to return as OT7 after their service, further fueling excitement among fans worldwide.
