Brad Pitt breaks his silence on divorce from Angelina Jolie after 8-year legal battle, says settlement was 'not a major thing'

Hollywood actor Brad Pitt appears to be ready to open up about his divorce from Angelina Jolie after a decade-long battle. Currently, the Fight Club actor is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film F1 and recently settled his divorce with Jolie.

Following the settlement, the actor opened up about the 'annoyance' of having his personal life in the news for so long. In a recent interview with GQ, Brad expressed himself, saying that his personal life is always in the news and has been the subject of discussion for 30 years now.

"It¡¯s been an annoyance I¡¯ve had to always deal with in different degrees, large and small, as I do the things I really want to do. So, it¡¯s always been this kind of nagging time suck or waste of time, if you let it be that, I don¡¯t know. I don¡¯t know. Mostly I feel pretty¡­," he added.

He went on to reveal that he feels his life is quite settled and there is a sense of comfort and safety that comes from his friends, loved ones, family and a strong understanding of himself.

Divorce settlement with Angelina Jolie is not a major thing for Brad Pitt

During the interview, the actor reflected on how his personal life has consistently been the subject of public attention.

Upon being asked if he felt relief after settling with Jolie in his long divorce battle, Pitt said, "No, I don't think it was that major of a thing. Just something coming to fruition. Legally."

One of the most celebrated ex-couples of all time, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, popularly called Brangelina, got hitched in 2014 at their French estate, Ch?teau Miraval. The couple fell in love on the set of their film Mr & Mrs Smith in 2005. The duo share six children.

However, their marriage couldn't last long and ultimately ended in divorce, and their divorce proceedings prolonged for eight years. The duo settled in December 2024.
