Coachella shuts down Megan Thee Stallion¡¯s set mid-performance, fans outraged: 'Post Malone could've waited'
Megan Thee Stallion¡¯s Coachella performance ended abruptly when her mic was cut off before she could finish her set. Fans were left frustrated as she couldn¡¯t perform favorites like WAP and Mamushi.

Megan Thee Stallion lit up the Coachella stage this weekend with a high-energy headlining set, but not without a little drama. Fans believe Coachella 'silenced' her by cutting her performance short towards the end, leaving the crowd confused and frustrated.
Coachella cuts Megan Thee Stallion's mic mid-set
Megan Thee Stallion¡¯s Coachella performance was shaping up to be one for the books; however, it didn't go as planned. She¡¯d just wrapped up one of her biggest hits, Big Ole Freak, and was gearing up for Mamushi. Visuals for the track were already flashing on the stage¡¯s LED screens, and the beat was starting to drop.
Suddenly, the main mainstage speakers cut out, and confusion quickly spread across the crowd. Some fans began to boo, while others started chanting Megan¡¯s name, hoping for the show to continue.
At about 9:27 p.m., two minutes past her scheduled end time, Megan¡¯s microphone seemed to cut off completely. The visuals for Mamushi vanished from the screen, and a shot of the stage was shown instead.
Before exiting, Megan expressed her frustration, saying, "Don't y'all do the hotties like that" and "Run 'Mamushi' back for the mother***ing" hotties"¡ªaudible only to the livestream viewers¡ªand threw in a parting "B***h, they said we have to go!" before taking a final bow and leaving the stage. She didn't even get to perform her 2020 song WAP, a record-breaking hit collab with Cardi B.

Megan Thee Stallion faces tech glitches
Meghan was earlier hit by a technical glitch during her performance. About 20 minutes into her performance, fans noticed something was off when her mic started acting up. Despite the tech issue, Megan didn¡¯t skip a beat, once again proving her ever-pro status.
Megan Thee Stallion¡¯s headlining 2025 Coachella set during the first weekend had everything from surprise guests to fireworks. However, a tech drama seemingly overshadowed her otherwise perfect gig.
About halfway through her performance, it looked like her mic wasn¡¯t working properly. ¡°Somebody come out here and fix my mother******* mic,¡± she yelled.
Following her call-out, a crew member quickly rushed onstage to help her out, and the rapper thanked them with a smile before jumping right back into the performance. The little technical glitch barely made a dent in her energy as she kept the crowd going like a pro.
About Megan's Coachella set
Megan Thee Stallion kicked off her Coachella set with crowd favorites like Savage, and even with a mic mishap early on, she didn¡¯t let the energy drop for a second. Just 25 minutes into her performance, she spiced things up by bringing Queen Latifah, and on expected lines, the crowd went wild. Not long after, Victoria Mon¨¦t joined in too, keeping the audiences gagged with surprises.

Later in the night, Megan and Ciara hit the stage together for a throwback performance of Goodies, sending spectators into a nostalgic ride. Fully commanding the stage, Megan, at one point, hyped up the audience, shouting, ¡°If you love your body, make some mother****** noise,¡± before diving into her anthem, Body.
Megan will return next weekend to Coachella¡ªand hopefully, she will get to perform fan favorites Mamushi and WAP.
