Unfortunately, something like this has not been spotted for the first time. These incidents have been reported from the Norfolk Coast. According to RSPCA reports there has been a 22% rise in animals suffering due to plastic litter. According to Mirror, from 473 cases in 2015, the number increased to 579 in 2018.
In the pictures you can see the flying rings trapped around the necks of Norfolk seals. These might eventually become the reason for their death. Not only can the frisbee cut into the skin of the seals but also choke them.

Some volunteers did manage to rescue three seals with their necks trapped in the discs to date, but it was not an easy task.
The growing cases of animal suffering prompted the Friends of Horsey Seals wildlife group to launch a campaign urging locals to make sure the toys are never left at the beach.
Sometime ago we reported the incident of a mother bird feeding a cigarette butt to it¡¯s chick. The heartbreaking image instantly went viral. Apart from plastic, cigarette butts are among waste that causes the most pollution on the beaches.
