Different mountain peaks have become visible from hundreds of kilometers away and finally the world¡¯s highest peak, Mt. Everest is visible from a village in Bihar, thanks to lack of pollution owing to coronavirus lockdown.
Residents of a village in Singhwahini in Bihar woke up to the magnificent view of Mount Everest from their houses on Monday. Due to no industrial activity and minimal traffic, AQI across the country has improved with a decrease in pollution.
The images of Mt Everest were shared by Ritu Jaiswal who is the Mukhiya of Gram Panchayat Singhwahini. "We can see Everest from our terrace today in Singhwahini village. Nature is balancing itself," she tweeted.

He shared a local newspaper report which quotes the elder of the village as claiming that the range visible now due to lack of pollution used to be visible decades ago when the state was not cluttered with activities.

According to google maps, the distance between the Singhwahini village and Mt. Everest is 190km.
A picture of Kangchenjunga the third highest mountain in the world, was posted by Twitter user @mundhrashish and it went viral. In the picture, the user mentioned how the mountain was clearly visible from his home in Siliguri and it looked absolutely mesmerising.
Then, there were reports of Gangotri range being visible from a place in Uttar Pradesh! Pictures shared by Ramesh Pandey IFS went viral on the internet as they showed snow capped peaks of Himalaya to be visible from Saharnpur, a city in Uttar Pradesh, more than 150 kms away!

This is Dhauladhar mountain range of Himachal , seen after 30 years, from Jalandhar(Punjab) after pollution drops to the lowest level in 30 years. This is approx. 200 km away straight.
