Videos And Images Of A Sparkling Clean Yamuna River Are Leaving People In Complete Awe
Amid the coronavirus outbreak, Mother Nature seems to be getting a much-needed break from humans, as they are no longer around to contaminate it. Several pictures of cities are going viral, for witnessing clean skies - something that hasn't happened in years; rivers are also blossoming due to the absence of people.
The latest one is Yamuna River and people cannot stop sharing videos and pictures of the water body, because it looks sparkling clean! Yamuna River is known to be extremely dirty due to people contaminating it with garbage. During Chhat Puja, when millions of people around the country take a dip in the river, it goes from bad to worse.
In the picture above you can see how clearly the rocks are visible through the river water.
Now, since everyone has to stay home, the river is getting a break from everything and everyone, and finally has a chance to recuperate. Several different videos are being shared on Twitter and everyone is absolutely loving it since most of us never even got an opportunity to see a clean state of the river.
Yamuna River in Delhi, how clean. Human intervention adversely affecting the Ecosystem. We stopped intervention due to lockdown & see there was no need to treat the Yamuna water. ???? ???? ?? ?????? ??, ???? ???? ?? ?????? ?????? ?? ????? pic.twitter.com/vLBLsDnbNL

#Yamuna at Oba, Mathura today (3April). Villagers say #water level is up & there is less stinking possibly due to repair of Agra canal water being released in #river from Okhala barrage.
