Watch: Clever Chimpanzee Has Learnt To Wash Clothes Like Humans, By Watching Its Keeper Do It!
18-year-old Chimpanzee named Yuhui who lives at the Lehe Ledu Theme Park in Chongqing south-western China was captured on film washing its keepers T-shirt with a brush and a bar of soap. It did not take much time for the video to go viral.
Chimpanzees are known for their intelligence - various studies have found that they are witty and skillful. In fact, they are so smart that they can learn and pick up new things, just by watching human beings do them.
Take a look at this chimpanzee - It was seen washing clothes in a China Zoo, just like its keeper. The 18-year-old Chimpanzee, named Yuhui, who lives at the Lehe Ledu Theme Park in Chongqing, south-western China, was captured on film, washing its keeper¡¯s T-shirt with a brush and a bar of soap, for about 30 minutes.
It did not take much time for the video to go viral. According to the reports, Yuhui's keeper decided to put the chimp to test, after he saw that it was observing him while he did his laundry. He placed a soiled shirt, a brush and soap near the tiny water hole inside its enclosure, and waited to see if the chimp did something. Guess what? It did, and exactly the way its keeper was doing earlier.

The keeper told Ecns, ¡°I never intended to teach him, but he watched me nonstop so I wondered if he would do it on his own.¡± According to the keeper, apart from washing clothes, Yuhui, can also mimic other human movements, such as making a heart shape with its fingers and standing on one foot, People.CN reported.
Given the way the human race is, we're not sure animals should be copying everything we do - we're capable of some nasty stuff too, aren't we?
Case in point - Another chimpanzee who was recorded while smoking a cigarette at a China zoo. Some tourists allegedly discarded a lit cigarette into the enclosure and the 15-year-old chimp picked it up, took a puff and threw it with the ¡®mic drop¡¯ gesture.

Not just chimps, monkeys are also clever and a video that went viral some time ago, proves it. In the video, a monkey can be seen washing clothes, ¡®patak patak ke¡¯- dhobi style. It seems like the monkey is a pet as the people in the background can be seen fondly laughing and cheering at its professional washing skills.
One might even think that the way this monkey is beating the white clothes, it is frustrated. Somehow it reminds us of a scene from Chup Chup Ke, where Rajpal Yadav, can be seen washing clothes quite angrily.
According to the tweet posted by Susanta Nand IFS reads, ¡®Contagious behaviour. Learning to do from seeing it done by this primate is extremely amusing¡¯, the primate has learned from its humans'.

Well, it looks like animals might just outsmart humans one day, and we won't be particularly sad about it.
