Ahead of the mega clash between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Tuesday, April 8, LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka and captain Rishabh Pant were spotted together watching the semifinal match of 2024/25 of the Indian Super League (ISL) between Mohun Bagan Super Giants and Jamshedpur FC.
The clip of the duo watching the ISL quickly went viral on social media amid rumours of differences between them. During LSG's last two losses, franchise owner Sanjiv Goenka was seen in animated discussions with Rishabh Pant that left fans fearing a KL Rahul situation.
Moreover, in one of the matches against Punjab Kings (PBKS), Goenka was even spotted giving a warm hug to Shreyas Iyer on their win and having an intense conversation with Pant on the other hand.

As fans noticed the two sides of Sanjiv Goenka during the last two losses, they recalled the time when the same happened with KL Rahul in 2024. Additionally, they also flooded social media with memes and posts regarding the toxic behaviour of Sanjiv Goenka towards his team.
Meanwhile, following the LSG losses, Goenka spoke to their players and shared a post giving a pep talk to his team, but that did not stop the rumours from spreading. But, amid all this going on, a new video from ISL Kolkata that surfaced on the internet has once again left fans confused.
In the pictures and clips from the ISL semi-finals, Sanjiv Goenka, who is also the chairperson of the RP Sanjiv Goenka Group, which also owns Mohun Bagan SG, was seen sitting with the LSG head coach Justin Langer, Vijay Dahiya, captain Rishabh Pant and other members of the team.
