In a long thread, Ahrens shared her life story while celebrating her 19th birthday. She wrote, ¡°I¡¯m turning 19 today. And I¡¯ve never felt more alive.¡±
In her posts on Twitter, she shared how she had overturned her life in just a matter of two years. The survivor revealed that 5 years ago her father committed suicide. After this grave loss, Ahrens had to undergo chemotherapy for her cancer. Adding to her losses, her best friend passed away a year ago yet she writes, ¡°Today, I¡¯m the happiest I¡¯ve ever been. The only thing that changed? My mindset.¡±
Ahrens candidly wrote that she wanted to give up her dreams, her family, and herself after enduring such tragedies. She shared how she was convinced, she was a ¡°failure¡±. Ahren unveiled her negative outlook toward life during these past few years and said that along with her people she lost herself, ¡°It's sad but true. I¡¯ve lost me to myself.¡±
