Last week, residents of the area were shocked to see the feline creature roaming around in their neighbourhood. Videos and pictures of 'India' were posted on social media. People also criticised others who keep tigers as pets.
Houston police tweeted a day later that they have managed to capture the owner of the tiger but the animal was still out on the loose. The owner was a 26-year-old man named Victor Hugo Cuevas who was charged with felony evading arrest for fleeing from HPD patrol officers on Monday.
During a press conference, Houston Police Commander Ron Borza said that Cuevas was out on bond for a murder charge in Fort Bend County when the tiger was spotted by the residents in the area.

Mr Borza said on Saturday that they had found Georgie Cuevas as Victor's wife. Apparently, a friend of hers had tipped the cops off about the tiger's location. He added that Georgie Cuevas then surrendered the animal to the police.
A video of the animal was shared once it was rescued.
