Mexican Dude Recreates Bengaluru Artist's Viral 'Moonwalk' On Road Packed With Potholes
While we're celebrating Chandrayaan-2, India's lunar landing, the condition of our roads presents another reality we've often ignored.
Bengaluru-based artist Baadal Nanjundaswamy grabbed the spotlight recently after making a strong statement about the appalling condition of the city's roads. He dressed up as an astronaut and play-acted a 'moonwalk.'
This was an attempt to make the BBMP (Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike) realise that we might as well be living on another planet given the number of pothole-infested roads in the city.
The video good enough to make anyone fall for it. That was until we saw the traffic in the background and realised it was actually a road.

Roads in Bengaluru reportedly have more than 15,935 deadly potholes. Looks like it is in tough competition with the craters on the moon.
Now it seems the video didn't just make waves in India, it apparently served as inspiration for someone in Mexico too where a man recreated Nanjundaswamy's viral 'moonwalk.'
Baadal took to Twitter to share the video from Mexico and wrote, ¡°...and they recreated it in Mexico! #mexican roads." Mexican agency Boveda Celeste had contacted him on Facebook seeking permission to recreate the video.

The video was shared on social media which shows some dude dressed up in an astronaut suit and walking slowly on a damaged road, just like the one shared by Baadal. The person also carries the Mexican flag.
Baadal has also received many requests to recreate the ¡®moonwalk¡¯ in other parts of India and in other countries as well.
