UK Heatwave: Employees Get A Paid Leave, Boss Throws A Pool Party & Barbecue For Them

Uk and Europe are dealing with the worst heatwave of all times. The roads are melting into black goo and the buildings are catching fire, so obviously things are not well in the country.

Boss sets up pool and party and BBQ for employees amid heatwave

Amid the severe heat, a boss is getting all sorts of accolades after he surprised all of his employees by giving them a paid off on one of the hottest days of the year in the UK. What did he use this leave for? So that they could have a pool party and a barbecue.

The staff members at HG Roofing Supplies were very surprised when they reached work on Monday. They thought they will have to work on an unbearably hot day, but they found out that the managing director had laid out two pools, fold-up chairs, games, beers, a meat-filled BBQ and music for them all to enjoy.

Legend boss Stuart Houston surprised his staff by organising a party in the carpark of the office building in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

One of the employees posted a video of him chilling in the pool on an inflated hoop. Inflatable toys were seen floating around the pools, the barbecue is already in full swing, the music is on and two colleagues are playing a game of badminton with their tops off.

Dylan told Deadline News, "When I turned up to work I thought it was a photo shoot at first from the outside. As I walked in it was like something out of Love Island with the swimming pools, barbecue and music with inflatable palm trees."

Houston said, "We made the decision at the end of last week when we knew it was going to be hot. We just thought we would treat the lads with a pool party and barbecue, give them a paid day off due to the inclement weather. We always try to treat the lads once or twice a year when we can."
