Only Love & Compassion: Chennai Woman Eats Just Once A Day So Her 13 Dogs Never Go Hungry
Even during the lockdown period when there is drastic shortage of resources, Meena did not back out from ensuring that her dogs are well-looked after. She is so dedicated towards their well-being that she eats one only a day and saves the rest of the food for her dogs to eat.
A life led by compassion is a life worth living. Kindness is overlooked as an important quality and people forget about helping others because everyone is a little too involved in their own agendas. However, there are some good Samaritans who go out of their ways to help those in need.
Kind acts do not need to be extraordinary or magnificent. A simple act of kindness goes a long way and people who execute them are remembered by everyone.
Social media helps us in finding out about such people who put others' needs first. The latest example of this is a woman from Chennai who keeps 13 dogs with her in her house.
Meena is a household cook and has immense love for her dogs. She has dedicated her life to keeping them safe and happy, and is ready to do anything to make sure they don't suffer.
Even during the lockdown period, when there was drastic shortage of resources, Meena ensured her dogs were well looked-after. She is so dedicated towards their well-being that she eats one only a day and saves the rest of the food for her dogs to eat, as reported by Times of India.
She said, ¡°I felt very awkward asking my owners for a salary advance. But I was lucky. Two house owners gave two months¡¯ salary in advance. They knew that I have a family of 13 dogs to take care of.
She mentioned that even the stray dogs are close to her heart. She added, ¡°I used to feed a lot of dogs outside as well. But now it is difficult for me to feed them every day. So some come to my house in search of me, but my ¡®guys¡¯ (her dogs) won¡¯t let them in. I will try to find a solution for this soon.¡±
Compassionate human beings like Meena bring back our faith in humanity.
