Love Story Of Chinese Man And His Girlfriend Who Was Paralysed After An Accident Goes Viral
Back in 1992, a 29-year-old lad named Xu Zhili crossed paths with a 21-year-old migrant worker named Huang Cuiyun in Central China¡¯s Hunan Province. They say it was love at first sight as the partners met, and quickly things escalated. After a month of dating each other, the couple could not wait any longer to tie the knot and decided to ask their parents for permission.
Huang wanted Xu to meet her family, so they took a bus to her parents¡¯ house. On their way to see Huang¡¯s parents, the bus they were travelling in met with an accident. While Xu only endured a few minor injuries, Huang was badly struck. Her spine was damaged, leading to the paralysis of her legs. After the accident, Xu¡¯s family wanted him to leave Huang and even tried to separate him from her, but he was adamant and wanted to fulfil his promise of spending their lives together.
Xu revealed in a viral video on Chinese social media, "I told her that I would look after her for life when we were dating, and I would keep my promise." Following the accident, Xu took Huang to his own home to care for her, who required assistance to get by since Xu has been caring for Huang.
Huang's Parents Had No Idea She Had Been Paralysed After An Accident
As Huang needed constant care, Xu could not leave his village, so he lost many opportunities to better employ himself. However, when he started farming, he thought of Huang as he grew the vegetables she loved, even if they were not as profitable. He learned to play the erhu, a Chinese two-string instrument, to entertain his lover, despite the fact that it was not widely used in rural China. Xu also custom-made a toilet for her comfort.
Later, the couple also adopted a daughter, as Huang could not have children. Amid all of this, Huang¡¯s family had no idea that she was even in an accident, as she had not told them anything about the incident. After 26 years, Huang reunited with her family. Her father joined forces with local journalists to find his daughter, and she was eventually found. After they reunited, Huang married Xu with her parents¡¯ blessing.
