Couple Tops Chattisgarh Public Service Commission Exam They Spent 11 Years Preparing For!
Anubhav Singh and his wife Vibha Singh came first and second respectively in the examination. The couple had been preparing for the same exam for the past 11 years. They actually met in 2008 via a study group and 6 years later in 2014 they got married.
I have personally always had massive respect for people who take competitive exams like UPSC, year after year, and do not give up even after multiple attempts. While it takes a lot of patience and dedication to do something like this, the reward more than makes up for it.
A couple in Bilaspur, Chattisgarh, after years of hard work and persistence, topped the Chattisgarh Public Service Commission examination merit list.
Anubhav Singh and his wife Vibha Singh came first and second respectively in the examination.
When Anubhav spoke to ANI, he was naturally elated and said that the previous failed attempts never pulled them down, rather it inspired them to work harder.
He said, "It is difficult to express how happy we feel today. I have been waiting for this moment all my life. After so many unsuccessful attempts, I still believed that we both would clear the examination.¡±
The couple had been preparing for the same exam for the past 11 years. They actually met in 2008 via a study group and 6 years later in 2014, they got married.
Talking about their relationship Anubhav said, "We used to study together. Even when we used to sit together to chat, it would turn into a study session.¡±
Vibha shared her husband¡¯s emotions and talked about being sure of clearing the examination. She said, "I knew we both would get selected, but did not fathom that we would top the exam."
For the past 7 years, Vibha had been working as the Assistant Development Officer (ADO) in the Department Of Panchayat and Rural Development. She balanced her studies and work together for all these years.
I cannot even imagine the kind of patience, strength and hard work it would have required to keep studying for an exam for more than a decade! Their life seemed to have turned out like a film - two people with the same passion meet at a study group, fall in love, get married and then go on trying together to keep working towards their dream. They not only achieved that dream but also aced it.
They stand as an example for all the people out there who are preparing for competitive exams. Continuous hard work and patience will definitely get you where you want to be, just keep working towards your goal, everything else will fall in place.
