Daughter Convinces Her 50-Year-Old Mother To Get Remarried

Chakravorty is from Shillong. She was only 2 years old when her biological father passed away from a brain hemorrhage. Although Deb Arti was just a toddler, her mother, Moushumi Chakravorty, was still young at the time, as she was just 25 years old. Deb Arti¡¯s father was a famous doctor at the time, and after his death, there was a property dispute that led to her mother shifting back to her maternal home.

Moushumi was working as a teacher at the time and did her best to live an honourable life. Now, Deb Arti works in Mumbai as a freelance talent manager. She shared her feelings about getting her 50-year-old mother remarried in a conversation with AajTak. The daughter revealed that whenever she talked about remarriage with her mother, she refused and said, "If I get married, what will happen to you?"

Deb Arti further revealed, "It took a lot of time to convince my mother for remarriage. I asked her to become friends with someone first. I initially asked her to chat with him as friends. After that, I told her that you've become friends, you can be life partners too."

Deb Arti Said 'My Mother Is Happy Now'

In March of this year, Deb Arti witnessed her mother tie the knot with Swapan from West Bengal. While both of them are 50 years old, this is Swapan¡¯s first marriage. Deb Arti talked about how the wedding had changed her mother, "My mother is happy now. Earlier, she used to be annoyed at everything but she is enjoying her life now."

In the video, Deb Arti recorded all her mother¡¯s wedding rituals, from the prayers to the actual day of the wedding. Deb Arti wrote in her caption as she poster her reel, "It's my Mom¡¯s Wedding.
