Heartbreaking Search: Young Girl Scours Town For Teddy Bear That Has Her Late Mother's Heartbeat
A young girl is on a desperate search for her teddy bear, which holds a recording of her deceased mother's heartbeat. The story of the girl's search has people clenching their chests.
A father in Tennessee, USA, is pulling every string he can to reunite his 4-year-old daughter with her teddy bear. This bear is not simple toy like every other one found abandoned on the street. This teddy bear was precious to the little girl as it held a recording of her late mother¡¯s heartbeat.
Young Girl Searches For Teddy Bear With Late Mother's Heartbeat
The teddy bear is one of the only things left with the girl that can remind her of her mother. It got lost after it was accidentally donated to Goodwill. The father, Taylor Kennedy, told WATE-TV that the little girl¡¯s grandmother had sent the Build-A-Bear teddy with the heartbeat after the mother had passed away.
He said, "My daughter¡¯s mom passed away, and her grandma made her a bear with her mom¡¯s heartbeat in it." He explained how when you squeeze the palm of the teddy bear, you can hear her mother¡¯s heart beating. Somehow, after a mixup, the teddy bear ended up at the Good Will store in Tazewell.
Kennedy requested people in his locality: "Please, if y¡¯all find it or see anybody that has one, just check or turn it into and I believe that somebody will get a reward if they dropped it off. I mean I know they¡¯ll get their money back for sure."
The Manager Of The Store Believes The Toy Is Still Inside The County
After the story was published and word spread throughout the country, calls from around the nation rang up at the store claiming to have seen the bear. However, the manager at the store believes that a resident bought the toy, which means it may still be in Claiborne County.
The store employees confirmed that the bear had been sold even before the family had come to inform the store of their urgency. The store has also put up a sign outside its doors to alert the customers and spread the word around to help out the family.
The sign reads, "We are in search of a tie-died Build-A-Bear that was accidentally donated. This is the only thing of a departed mother that a little girl has. PLEASE, if you have it, return it to this store, so we can reunite them. You will be reimbursed. This bear has the mother's heartbeat in it."
