He Quit His Job To Start A Food Channel Online. Today, Food He Cooks He Gives To Orphaned Kids

Quitting your 9-to-5 job to do something you love is not an easy task for most. But there are some people who make it look real easy and at the same time prove that following your passion holds a lot more meaning.

Khwaja Moinuddin is among the few who is giving back to the society with his unique initiative. Moinuddin who earlier worked as journalist with a Telugu channel, quit his job to pursue his passion for cooking with a purpose.

He has had over 10 years of working experience in regional TV channels as a producer. Through his YouTube channel 'Nawab¡¯s Kitchen Food For All Orphans' he not only whips up interesting dishes but also makes it a point to feed orphaned kids and the underprivileged.

From delicious curries to mouth-watering cakes, he makes everything in large quantities so he can feed as many kids as possible. According to TOI, he started the YouTube channel back in 2017. His two friends, Srinath Reddy and Bhagat Reddy, help him records videos for his channel.

His initial passion for cooking began at home; he said that his family could never afford a fancy dish and so he started experimenting with affordable ingredients to come up with unique recipes.

All of his unique dishes received appreciation from his family and friends, many of whom said that he had magic in his hands when it came to cooking. He started reading cookbooks, watching videos and learning about the different cuisines from different corners of India.

Every month, he feeds around 1200 kids of various orphanages. Initially, the idea was to feed a few street kids, but slowly it became a huge success with many children loving his food.

His first video that went viral was the recipe of pineapple cake, which was not cooked in an oven, rather wood fire, reports TOI.

Today, most of Moinuddin's time is spent in zeroing down on a perfect location to cook and shoot his videos, and gather those who are in need for a good, sumptuous meal.

In an interview with The Hindu, Moinuddin was quoted as saying, "I always cook extra and never come back with leftovers. Once we are done cooking, everyone in and around the area where we cook is free to join us to eat. Initially we would pack the cooked food in boxes and distribute it, then we thought we would feel even better if we are able to serve the people directly."

For Khwaja Moinuddin the most important thing is to never let a child sleep hungry and his drive to feed the lesser privileged will go on for life.
