Honest Bus Conductor In Bengaluru Returns Bag Containing Rs 1 Lakh To Its Owner
Bus conductor in Bengaluru defied all the odds and returned a bag containing Rs 1 lakh to its rightful owner. Yellappa Betageri with the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation BMTC found a bag left by a passenger who has been identified as Subhadra Dutta.

But this conductor in Bengaluru defied all the odds and returned a bag containing Rs 1 lakh to its rightful owner. A bus conductor, Yellappa Betageri, with the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) found a bag left by a passenger who has been identified as Subhadra Dutta, who got off the bus at the Esteem Mall but forgot her bag, which had Rs 1 lakh in cash, reported Bangalore Mirror.

Betageri found Subhadra¡¯s bag with cash inside, but by the time she obtained Betageri¡¯s number from the BMTC help desk and informed him that she left her bag, the bus had reached Cole¡¯s Road from Hebbal. He told Sugandha that he could meet her at the next stop - Whitefield.

Speaking to Bangalore Mirror, Betageri said that he identified Subhadra through her Aadhar card which she had forgotten inside the bag along with the cash and some debit and credit cards.

An official with BMTC was quoted as saying that in the past year, the corporation has witnessed about 96 such instances where drivers and conductors have exhibited honesty in returning lost luggage. He added that the corporation rewards and appreciates such gestures by its employees.
