In The Absence Of Hair Nets, Doctor Wears Disposable Hospital Pants On His Head
By now, everyone is aware of how hospitals around the world are running short on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like face masks and gloves for healthcare workers who are putting their lives at risk every day to fight COVID-19.
From face masks to ventilators, the medical facilities have now apparently also run out of hair nets. More recently, a doctor's picture wearing a pair of disposable pants on his head went viral.
The doctor, a gastroenterologist from London, tweeted that he had to wear disposable pants on his head after there was a hair net shortage.
He shared a photograph of himself wearing goggles, a protective mask and disposable pants on his head. In his caption, he wrote, ¡°Today we were asked to wear disposable patient pants because we have run out of hairnets. It may have sent me over the edge #wibble.'

Health Secretary Matt Hancock commented on how doctors and nurses need to use PPE judiciously and that made the doctor tweet out another picture with two pens in his nostrils and underpants on his head with the caption, ¡°@MattHancock says we¡¯re wasting #PPE so after yesterday¡¯s experience, I¡¯ve bought my own in from home, no mask, will just have to hold my breath.¡±
He also said how they might have to start wearing their underwears on their heads.
"I have taken the health secretary's comments on board, so today I brought in my own pants from home," he added.
