This Man Is Giving Free Haircuts To Underprivileged Children In Mumbai & It's Heartwarming

Getting a haircut is probably one of the things people struggled with during this lockdown due to the closing down of literally everything due to the pandemic. Since salons are businesses of close contact nature, their reopening will probably experience a setback even when other establishments get permission to open up.

However, some people want to lend out a helping hand to those who do not have access to YouTube tutorials on how to cut hair and fill their social media feeds with their 'new rad style'. (Condolences to everyone who thought cutting your own bangs would be a good idea.)

According to an ANI report, Ravindra Birari is a hairdresser from Titwala and has been running his own salon in Mumbai's Bhandup area for several years. However, due to the current lockdown situation the country is placed in and with Mumbai's significantly high COVID-19 cases, salons in the city are not going to open any time soon.

So, mixing his profession with social work, he decided to give poor children who cannot afford to even cut their own hair, free haircuts once a week. He said, "It is more than two months of lockdown, all salons are closed. Poor children who live on the road can not go anywhere to get their hair cut, so I am giving a free haircut to children".

Putting his life on the line once a week, Birari takes to the streets of Mumbai and provides the underprivileged children with his kind and selfless service.

Barbers, salons and hairdressers are facing a significant blow to their daily income due to the novel pandemic coronavirus which causes a highly contagious disease called COVID-19. Since cutting hair is a close-contact service, there is no certainty as to when the business can go back to its normal ways of functioning in society.
