The video was shot in Sloan Lake in Colorado, USA, and shows the heroic man jumping into the frigid water to save Loki, a husky dog that was struggling to get out.
Holly Morphew, the Instagram user who shared the video, explained that the dog fell into the lake while chasing geese. Without regard for his personal safety, the man, identified as Jason Skidgel, stripped naked and dove in to save the dog.
As per the caption of the post, a group of friends went for a walk around Sloan's Lake when they witnessed a heart-stopping incident. They observed a dog bolting across the lake, chasing a flock of geese.
Concerned, they watched as the dog reached the edge of the ice-covered lake, only to plunge into the freezing water. The onlookers anxiously hoped that the dog would find a way to break through the ice and reach safety, but it soon became evident that the struggle was taking its toll on the exhausted animal.
