Meigo Mark always loved travelling, but it was in 2014 when he felt compelled to embark on a new challenge and adventure - to walk around the world.
More recently he took to Reddit to share some beautiful pictures of his walk across India.

Sharing his incredible experience, Meigo wrote on Reddit that during his stay in India he lived with 35 local families. He said that he camped a lot and was even got attacked by a dog and was escorted by a heavily armed Assam police force.
He swam alone in the Ganges River, celebrated many big festivals like Diwali, Navaratri. 'I was invited to visit many schools and universities to give a talk to thousands of students. For many weeks walked in Rajasthan with over +42 degrees Celsius and many weeks in the monsoon rains'.
'Walked to Ambaji together with hundreds of thousands of
walking Hindus. Visited the Barefoot College, Gandhi Ashram, OM Ashram. Had a
very inspiring meeting [with] world boxing champion MC Mary Kom and met the members of
the famous Shilong Chamber Choir who sang 3 songs just only for me', wrote
Meigo.

When it came to weight loss he said that he was already very fit, he wrote ¡®weight did not change much only +-3 kilograms. I had many resting days and I stayed in many local homes together with the local families and they really made sure that I would eat A LOT and recover properly from the long walk¡¯.

¡®In the longer walk of 20,000 kilometres in 22 countries in over 4 years I lost a bit more weight. The maximum loss from the starting weight was 7-8 kilograms or 15 pounds', he added.
'All my travel expenses for 1 FULL YEAR (foods, drinks, accommodations, some new shoes, clothes, travel and hiking equipment, few new mobile phones and cameras that broke on the way, all the visas and tickets for popular touristic places and all the other stuff) were average 3,000-3,600 euros which is 3,245 ¨C 3,785 US dollars $ for 1 full year,¡¯ he wrote.
On his YouTube channel Meigo says, "I have a very big dream to travel around the world mostly by walking. The goal is to walk in different countries a minimum distance of 40,075 kilometres or 24,901 miles which is the circular distance of planet Earth's Equator. I have completed walking over 20,000 kilometres or 12,427 miles in 22 countries."
