2-year-old Mehlani suffers from a rare genetic disorder called Axenfeld-Rieger syndrome acondition that impacts the development of her eyes. Her motherKarina Martinez from Minnesota has got used to peoples love for her adorable daughters big beautiful eyes.
This is little 2-year-old is Mehlani and she has huge, adorable Anime like eyes.
Everytime were out & a stranger compliments on how big & beautiful her eyes are, I have a mental debate on whether or not I should mention her defect. I decide no, smile & say thank you. Unfortunately, Melhani suffers from a rare genetic disorder called Axenfeld-Rieger syndrome, a condition that impacts the development of her eyes. Axenfeld-Rieger syndrome mainly affects the cornea and the iris (the colored part of the eye). Her mother, Karina Martinez, from Minnesota, has got used to people's love for her adorable daughter's big beautiful eyes.

Mehlani has glaucoma, although so far her vision is fine. Martinez said that she has to wear sunglasses outside because glaucoma can also make your eyes sensitive to light.
Talking about her baby's future an anxious mother Martinez, wrote, "I get so nervous thinking about her starting school. What if other kids are mean about her eyes & she gets made fun of? What if she starts to hate her unique gorgeous eyes? It makes me want to cry thinking about it because she¡¯s so strong & sweet & been through so much already."
