No One Is Above The Law - Hyderabad Police Fines Mayor For Parking His Car In No-Parking Zone
Hyderabad Mayor Bonthu Rammohan&rsquos car was parked in a no-parking zone. The Hyderabad traffic police sent an e-challan to him for not following the rules. But he later clarified that the offense was committed by his driver and not him.
Traffic rules in India are a big mess and when it comes to the implementation of laws for the top brass it becomes a big problem. But as far as Hyderabad traffic police is concerned no one is above the law.
Someone recently pointed out that Hyderabad Mayor Bonthu Rammohan¡¯s car was parked in a no-parking zone in the Cyberabad area. The photo of the mayor¡¯s car was posted by the person and it went viral on the internet.

Later, the traffic police sent an e-challan to Rammohan, who then thanked the person for pointing out that he didn¡¯t follow the rules. He also appreciated the Telangana Police for treating him like any other citizen and doing their duty.

It was not an intentional offence by my driver, It happened when we were on our duty responding to the problems in the https://t.co/GC1m7S8xzP isnt a excuse though... Rules are for everyone and we all should abide by them.

Earlier in November, a Hyderabad traffic police officer fined the Additional Commissioner of Police for parking his vehicle in a no-parking zone. Hats off to the Hyderabad traffic police for doing their job and setting an example for the rest of the country.
