Gone Too Soon: 32-year-old Entrepreneur Pankhuri Shrivastava Dies Due To Cardiac Arrest
Entrepreneur Pankhuri Shrivastava, founder of women-focused social venture 'Pankhuri' and home rental startup Grabhouse, passed away on Friday from a cardiac arrest. She was 32 years old.

"With profound grief and sorrow, we regret to inform the sad demise of our beloved CEO, Pankhuri Shrivastava. We lost her on 24th December 2021 due to a sudden cardiac arrest. May her soul obtain Sadgati. Om Shanti," message posted on Pankhuri's Twitter account.

'Pankhuri' is a Sequoia Capital-backed social community platform for women in India to network, learn and shop online through live streaming, chat and micro-courses.
Sequoia Capital India's Managing Director Shailendra Singh also took to Twitter to mourn Pankhuri's passing.
"Pankhuri had so many ideas, insights, full of enthusiasm and creativity as a founder We are still trying to process this huge loss. Heart-broken and numb," he tweeted.

Vani Kola, founder of Kalaari Capital, tweeted on Sunday, ¡°Yesterday it came as a shock to me when I found out that @pankhuri16 is no more. I remember her as a vivacious bright woman full of ideas and full of life. She was confident. That was something you noticed about her immediately.¡± Kola added, ¡°My heart reaches out to her family at this untimely tragedy. Her demise is a loss for our startup ecosystem. We lost a bright and young founder, but I know her legacy will live on. It was truly a privilege to know Pankhuri. Rest in peace, Pankhuri.¡±

Before Shrivastava launched 'Pankhuri', she had founded rental start-up Grabhouse which was acquired by Quikr in 2016.
Shrivastava was born in Jhansi; she studied computer science engineering at Rajiv Gandhi Technological University. She also taught in municipal schools in Mumbai under the fellowship program of Teach for India.
According to reports, she got married a year ago and had recently celebrated her first wedding anniversary on December 2.
In her last social media post, she had written about challenges in evaluating candidates with interviews because they appeared to have studied "the same hacks".

All seem to have read the same articles, know the same hacks from companies that are doing well & almost talk the same language! Are ref checks the only way?"
