Diwali With The Pets: Ratan Tata Reveals How One Of His Office Dogs, 'Goa' Got His Name

Ratan Tata is known to be a kind man, and regardless of being one of the richest people in the country, he is as humble as they come. In a new Instagram post, Mr Tata shared a picture of his time spent with his pet dogs on Diwali, at Bombay House, the global headquarters of Tata Group in the Mumbai.

He specially mentions one of his dogs, Goa, and there is an interesting story behind it.
In his post, Ratan Tata is sitting on the steps at Bombay House as he is surrounded by dogs. At the Bombay House, a special kennel has been built for stray dogs living in and around the area.
According to the post, Goa, a black and white dog, is apparently Ratan Tata's favourite.
'A few heartwarming moments with the adopted Bombay House dogs this Diwali, especially Goa, my office companion', Ratan Tata said in the caption of his post.

In the comments, Ratan Tata explained how Goa got his name as one user asked: 'Is Goa the name of the dog? What's the story behind naming it so?'
Ratan Tata commented, 'He was a stray puppy when he got into my colleague's car in Goa, and came all the way to Bombay House, hence the name Goa'.
Back in 2018, when Bombay House got renovated, a special home for stray dogs was added to the establishment.

The kennel was designed specifically for the dogs as it has a flap door at the base of the main door of the room for the dogs to move in and out at will. They also get weekly baths on Saturday which has a designated area. It is also well-stocked with toys, chewies, feeding bowls, dog biscuits and a daily supply of boiled meat that comes from the kitchens at the Taj.
