Restaurant Uses Social Media To Track Down Man Who Traveled 32 Km For The Perfect Butter Chicken
The man, who has not been named, drove from Werribee that is 32 km west of Melbourne. Unfortunately, he could never make it to the restaurant and ended up being caught by the police. However, since the man's efforts were in vain as the authorities intervened in his plans, the restaurant that he was going to is now making an offer to him.
Remember the man from Melbourne who traveled for 32 km from his home for the 'perfect' butter chicken and ended up paying a hefty fine for violating lockdown rules?
The man, who has not been named, drove from Werribee that is 32 km west of Melbourne. Unfortunately, he could never make it to the restaurant and ended up being caught by the police.
Well, this came as a shocking piece of news to some while most were left feeling amused at the man's cravings. Some also related and said, 'If it was nice butter chicken, I would probably do the same.'

However, since the man's efforts were in vain as the authorities intervened in his plans, the restaurant that he was going to, is now making an offer to him.
Tonka Melbourne is now looking for the man and offering to deliver him a few servings of butter chicken to make up for his bad luck.
The restaurant posted a picture on Instagram with a simple question - 'Who is Mr Butter Chicken?'
'Guys, help! We need to find Mr Butter Chicken...Anyone got a lead? And if so, how would we know he was the real deal? We want to deliver him a few curries to soften the blow. All we know is that he lives in Werribee, he got fined $1,652.00 and had called earlier to ask about delivery to Werribee which we couldn¡¯t do until Wednesday. But how good is Butter Chicken?, Tonka Melbourne captioned the post.
In another post, Tonka Restaurant wrote that the man's lockdown violation penalty of $1,652 is the price of 61 Butter Chickens.
"$1,652.00 works out to be 61 Butter Chickens, which equals free butter chicken for life. We absolutely do not condone any illegal activity, especially related to COVID but f**k this gave us well needed laugh," they wrote.
The butter chicken craving man was one of the 74 people who violated lockdown rules and issued fines in a 24 hour period over the weekend.
