Its a myth that cats and dogs do not get along, you will find hundreds of videos online that prove otherwise. The gesture of one particular dog, proves it too. In Canada, a stray dog was found keeping a litter of kittens warm on the side of a road on a cold night.
The two-year-old female mongrel has been named Serenity by animal rescue officials. She was discovered in a ditch on the side of a rural road near Chatham, Ontario a few days ago. The dog was covered in a blanket of snow; it was -3 degrees Celsius.
A passerby noticed the dog and stopped to help it, only to find five tiny black kittens "snuggling with her," Myriam Armstrong, a spokeswoman for the Pet and Wildlife Rescue, told AFP.
The dog and the five kittens were brought to the agency and the story of the cross-breed love and the pictures of the six, are going viral on the social media.

Messages have been flooding from across the country to requesting to adopt them.
"The kittens wouldn't have survived the cold Canadian winter without this dog's help," Armstrong reportedly said.
However it is not known what brought the dog and the kittens together in the first place. But Serenity doted on kittens even in the shelter, Armstrong said.
Some believe that all six of them should be found a home together, if possible. However, Armstrong informed that they would all be ready to be adopted several weeks apart.
Serenity will be ready next week after being spayed, but the kittens will be kept at the shelter for a few more weeks, to give them time to fatten up and finish treatments for fleas and parasites.
Well, dogs are good just not to their own kind or humans, their love spreads to other species too!
