Selvino Jesus de Oliveira was born in 1910 and joked with his family that he's lived so long because he's never married.
The Brazilian bachelor turned 113 in July 2023 and posted a happy birthday photo of himself clutching his ID with his birth date.
His Childhood!
His grandmother raised Selvino, who has never married or had children. He settled in Santa Izabel do Oeste, Parana State, Brazil, 50 years ago and hasn't moved since.
Selvino adores bocce¡ªa local outdoor ball activity comparable to British lawn bowling¡ªand has even participated in it for years. Still, he no longer plays in his old age and prefers to watch as a spectator.
The retired basket maker said that his solitary existence was so low-stress that it extended his life by years¡ªbut a good diet was certainly not one of his keys to a long life.
