Who is IAS Varun Baranwal?
Varun Baranwal an IAS officer from the small town of Boisar in the Palghar district of Maharashtra, always dreamt of becoming a doctor. VarunĄ¯s father was a bicycle mechanic, who ran a small bicycle repairing shop. His father worked hard to give a good education to his children.
Varunkumar Baranwal lost his father in 2006. After the sudden death of his father, the financial burden of the family fell on his young shoulders because he was the eldest male in his family.

Varun's father's cycle repairing shop was the only source of income his family had and after the death of his father Varun had decided to take charge of his father's shop and take care of his family. Between all of this, Varun Baranwal had topped his class in the 10th exam.
When Varun's mother saw his passion for reading and the desire to do something in life, she took the responsibility for the shop and asked him to continue his studies further.

Whenever Varunkumar encountered a problem, came along someone who completely changed his life. A lot of credit goes to Dr. Kampli, a friend of his late father, who had treated his father before he passed away. Dr. Kampli helped in not just the initial fees for his college but even later in his IAS study.
After passing his schooling, Varun decided to follow his passion that's why he enroll in medical college. But the fee for Medical education was too much, that's why he decided to prepare for engineering instead.
Varun get admission to MIT College Pune and worked hard in the first semester of his engineering course to get a scholarship from the college. After completing his engineering, he got a job in a multinational company. His family wanted him to continue with his MNC job, but Varun wanted to go ahead with civil services. To prepare for the exam he got help from NGOs who provided books to him. Due to everyone's help, he managed to crack the exam and became an IAS officer.
Baranwal, who saw the life of poverty as a lesson, secured 32nd rank in the UPSC IAS 2016 exam and became an IAS officer.
Varun has many inspirations, and he feels that the collective experience helps him be a better civil servant.
