Woman Points Out Plastic Bottles In Anand Mahindra's Meeting Photo, He Promises To Remove Them
Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra is quite open to suggestions, and that is evident by the way he responds to people on social media. From praising the ¡®tree bike¡¯ and thinking of marketing the machine as a part of their Farm Solutions portfolio, to replying to an 11-year-old girl who had idea about curbing honking, Mahindra is quite the people person.
This time, Anand Mahindra is all set to ban plastic bottles from corporate boardrooms after a Twitter user pointed them, when he shared a photo of one of his meetings, on Twitter. He captioned the picture:
¡®The K.C.M.E.T scholarship selections are amongst the most energising engagements in my calendar. The incredible intelligence & self-belief displayed by these youngsters is staggering.¡¯

Sir, it¡¯s worth getting rid of the single use water bottles. Our board rooms have nice glass bottles and a ¡®tucked away¡¯ water cooler. Good for the environment and the dreary mind dealing with death by PowerPoint.

A couple of days ago, a video of a farmer went viral on social media. The video showed the him sitting on what looked like a bike attached to a coconut tree and upon pressing a button, the device went up in a controlled motion, making it easier for him to pick coconuts.
The video was shared on Twitter with a caption ¡®When you want to be a bike racer but becomes a farmer due to parental pressure.' Looking at the invention, Mahindra praised the farmer, Ganapathi Bhat.
He took to Twitter and tagged the President of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd Farm Equipment Sector, and suggested he put together a team to take a closer look at the invention, so that they can market the machine as a part of their Farm Solutions portfolio.
How cool is this? The device not only seems effective & does the job, but also looks elegantly designed with a minimum of weight. @rajesh664 can your team look at this more closely & see whether we can market Mr. Bhat¡¯s device as part of our Farm solutions portfolio? https://t.co/4O0y2DmBzh

In another instance, the CEO also tweeted out a video of a farmer attempting to shift the grain and husks in his field after a harvest. Normally, this would have to be done by hand, as the farmer's only piece of machinery seems to be a tractor meant for ploughing.
I think the phrase ¡®Necessity is the mother of invention¡¯ was invented by Indians! Here¡¯s a new product our Farm & Construction sectors will have to consider as a replacement for an excavator: A ¡®Khatiya-vator¡¯. #whatsappwonderbox pic.twitter.com/av3qNdIAHd

Mahindra tweeted, ¡®Here's a new product our Farm & Construction sectors will have to consider as a replacement for an excavator: A Khatiya-vator'. Clearly a lot of people were impressed, given that the tweet has over 16,000 likes and over 2,900 retweets at the time it was posted.
