Nothing Like Desi Jugaad! Man Literally Attached A 'Jhoola' To His Bike To Travel With Family
In a bid to travel with all his family members, an Indian guy devised an interesting jugaad, he literally attached a desi Mela jhula or a Ferris wheel to his bike. A video is going viral on social media in which this person is seen riding the bike and handling the direction of the swing on which his family members are sitting.
In the past few weeks, we've seen multiple stories about migrant labourers taking an arduous journey back home on foot. Desperation has forced some of them to come up with innovative solutions. Last week we heard of a man taking his pregnant wife and child on a makeshift cart he made with wooden sticks.
Now, another man has set the standard high for desi Indian jugaad. In order to make sure his family travelled along with him, this guy literally attached a ferris wheel to his bike.
The video was shared by Marico Chairman Harsh Mariwala, "Probably not the safest mode of transport. But watch how this man has converted his 2-seater bike into what could be like a 4-seater car," he wrote.

As the man rides his bike, he also controls the direction of the swing with a steering wheel attached to it. It is unknown when and where the video was filmed.
One user said, "This kind of brains should be used in developing technology and machinery." Another noted, "I have seen these before. I believe this is the easiest way to transport their 'jhoola' to the next site. However, this also jeopardises the life and safety of others on the highway."
Here's what people had to say:

Last month, Business tycoon Anand Mahindra shared a video of an e-rickshaw that was modified to isolate passengers during COVID-19 pandemic.
The capabilities of our people to rapidly innovate & adapt to new circumstances never ceases to amaze me. @rajesh664 we need to get him as an advisor to our R&D & product development teams! pic.twitter.com/ssFZUyvMr9

Given the restrictions on public transport, the modified e-rickshaw allowed people to remain separated from other passengers.
In the undated video, a man is heard explaining the idea in Bengali and called it a ¡°corona innovation¡±. The video shows how the driver is separated from passengers by a metal sheet.
