Barfili Baraat: Groom Walks 4 km To Bride's Home As Roads Were Blocked Due To Snowfall
A groom in Uttarakhand travelled four km on foot with his baraat to reach brides home. The snowfall had obstructed the roads and the were closed down. The wedding season in the hills along with the routine life of people have been affected.
January is coming to an end but North India has not had a respite from winters. Many places in Uttarakhand and Himachal are receiving snowfall. People and businesses are having problem because of the trouble the snowfall causes. But life does not stop right? That was the attitude a groom and his baraat.
News agency ANI tweeted about a groom in Uttarakhand who travelled four km on foot with his baraat to reach bride¡¯s home. The snowfall had obstructed the roads and the were closed down.
The tweet read, ¡®A groom travelled four km on foot to reach the bride's home in Bijra village in Chamoli district as roads were closed due to heavy snowfall in the region¡¯.
The groom, dressed in his wedding attire, walked with an umbrella during the heavy snowfall, along with the baraatis.
According to ANI, the wedding ceremony took place in Luntara village of Ghat block amid heavy snowfall- the bride and groom probably had their Phoebe and Mike moment (Friends reference).

The wedding season in the hills along with the routine life of people have been affected in the state because of heavy snowfall.
Last week a jawan was stranded in Kashmir because of heavy rainfall as a consequence to which he missed his own wedding.

Suneel, from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh had his wedding on Thursday. The baraat procession was scheduled to leave for the Daled village of Ladbhadol in Mandi, the wait was only for Suneel, who could not reach. The wedding date was then shifted.
Considering that, this groom¡¯s family is lucky that they could get married on the fixed date.
