Spotify Creators Make ?15 Lakh Monthly Crafting Soothing White Noise And Nature Sounds

Millennials are pioneering innovative methods to harness the Internet for income generation. In an ever-evolving digital landscape, this tech-savvy generation is leveraging their creativity and online skills to create new avenues for making money.
Creators on Spotify make around Rs 15 lakh every month by creating long playlists of white noise, which include sounds like birds and thunderstorms.
However, according to Bloomberg, Spotify plans to remove these creators from its Ambassador Ads program, which pays podcasters to read ads on their shows, starting in October.

During an interview with Bloomberg, a creator who left his job to focus on making white-noise podcasts full-time became emotional.
He explained that he was earning $12.25 (approximately Rs 1,018) for every 1,000 listens, which amounted to a monthly income of $18,375 (about Rs 15.3 lakh).
However, the future of his income is uncertain, as it may be impacted if Spotify alters its Ambassador Ads program.
Additionally, Spotify is increasing its eligibility criteria for the advertising program. According to the publication, podcasters must now have 1,000 unique Spotify listeners in the past 60 days to qualify, a significant increase from the previous requirement of just 100 amazing listeners.
As per an undisclosed insider who spoke with Bloomberg, Spotify viewed its investment in white-noise listeners for the Ambassador Ads program as not providing a good return on investment within its marketing budget.
As per estimates in an internal memo that Bloomberg obtained earlier this month, Spotify could save $38 million a year if it could persuade listeners to turn away from white noise and toward more lucrative content.
