You don't even have to pull the strings over the side of the pan like a tea bag. Victoria demonstrated in her video that the entire feminine hygiene product can rest in the pan.
She places the tampons into the pan around the halfway point of the cooking process, allowing them to sit to the side as she stirs the ground beef and adds spices.
She also seems to flip the tampons over during cooking, which might make them look like well-browned onions to an unsuspecting observer.
