BTS' Jimin is currently serving in the artillery unit of the 5th Infantry Division in South Korea's military. The Muse hitmaker enlisted on December 11, 2023, along with fellow band member Jungkook. He's been honoured with the prestigious title of Special Warrior, which is only given to a handful of exceptional soldiers who showcase outstanding skills during training.
Other than his notable military achievements, the singer seems to have formed a lifelong bond with his fellow soldiers, especially those younger than him. A few handwritten notes of Jimin's for junior soldiers who got discharged have recently gone viral, and it's the sweetest thing you will read on the internet.
A note, as translated by a fan page, in Hangul read, "Hey, my son, my baby... don't go anywhere, don't get hurt, save money, and get a job, and yeah, remember, don't forget the stories I told you.
I'm sad that you are discharged. How dare you be discharged before me? Thanks for being a big part of my military life. I had a good time due to you. Listen to Hyung. Don't just play around and come to Seoul and get a job. Love you."
